Atlanta Sport Fence: Baseball/Softball At Summit Fence, we can install a thick, galvanized steel chain link fence for your sports fields. We do the work with an optional PVC protective cover over the top rail which can help protect again player injuries. Normally, outfield fence lines are 4' tall. The sideline and dugout fencing heights vary with player ages for particular fields but are typically 8' tall between the dugout and backstop. The backstops themselves will usually range from 35' to 80' in length, with heights from 10' to over 24' plus an optional 4' overhang region. These are also made of a strong, galvanized steel.
